Der Drenthepad
Der Drenthepad ist der älteste ausgeschilderte Fernwanderweg der Niederlanden. Offiziell beginnt er am Bahnhof von Beilen. Die rund 360 Kilometer  lange Strecke furt drei Nationalparks uns zwei UNESCO-gebiete. De wanderweg is in Geld-Rot ausgeschildert.

Wander-Etappe 10.
Jahrhundertealte Wälder und ein Durchbruchtal aus der Eiszeit bilden den prähistorischen Übergang zwischen dem Hondsrug und dem Flusstal von Drentsche Aa und Hunze. Sie wandern durch ein Gebiet mit einer reichen Geschichte von der Steinzeit bis zum Mittelalter. Besonders besonders ist der Doppeldolmen in Midlaren. Sie setzen Ihren Weg entlang des Zuidlaardermeeres zum Hunzedelta „Tusschenwater“ – der Mündung der Hunze – fort und kommen in Zuidlaren an, dem Dorf, das für das Kinderlied „Berend Botje“ und Europas ältesten und größten Pferdemarkt (seit 1201) bekannt ist.

The Drenthepad
The Drenthepad, the oldest signposted long-distance footpath in the Netherlands, officially begins its scenic journey. The trail spans more than 360 kilometres, passing through three National Parks and two UNESCO areas. The path is waymarked with yellow/red signs.

Stage 10.
Ancient forests and a breakthrough valley from the ice age form the prehistoric transition between the Hondsrug and the river valley of Drentsche Aa and Hunze. You walk through an area with a rich history from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. The double dolmen near Midlaren is particularly special. You continue your way along the Zuidlaardermeer to the Hunze delta ‘Tusschenwater’ – the mouth of the Hunze – and arrive in Zuidlaren, the brink village known from the children’s song ‘Berend Botje’ and Europe’s oldest and largest horse market (since 1201)
