Der Drenthepad
Der Drenthepad ist der älteste ausgeschilderte Fernwanderweg der Niederlanden. Offiziell beginnt er am Bahnhof von Beilen. Die rund 360 Kilometer  lange Strecke furt drei Nationalparks uns zwei UNESCO-gebiete. De wanderweg is in Geld-Rot ausgeschildert.

Wanderetappe 3.
Sie wandern durch eine Moränenlandschaft, die während der Eiszeit vor etwa 150.000 Jahren entstanden ist. Ein prähistorisches Gebiet mit Dolmen und Grabhügeln. Durch Bombenangriffe auf den deutschen Fliegerhorst während des Zweiten Weltkriegs entstand ungewollt eine Landschaft, in der ein Schatz an besonderer Flora und Fauna entstand. Und Sie kommen sogar an einem mittelalterlichen Berg „Motte“ vorbei. Und die Etappe endet im Dorf, das Shakespeare, Diever atmet und erlebt. Seit 75 Jahren werden hier Shakespeares Stücke zum Leben erweckt.

The Drenthepad
The Drenthepad, the oldest signposted long-distance footpath in the Netherlands, officially begins its scenic journey. The trail spans more than 360 kilometres, passing through three National Parks and two UNESCO areas. The path is waymarked with yellow/red signs.

Stage 3.
You walk through a moraine landscape that was created during the ice age about 150,000 years ago. A prehistoric area with dolmens and burial mounds. Bombing raids on the German ‘Fliegerhorst’ during the Second World War inadvertently created a landscape where a treasure trove of special flora and fauna was created. And you will even pass a medieval ‘Motte’ mountain. And the stage ends in the village that breathes and experiences Shakespeare, Diever. Shakespeare’s plays have been coming to life here for 75 years.
